About Us
We are a sketch comedy troupe, meaning we perform short comedic scenes better known as sketches (or skits), similar to that of Saturday Night Live or MADtv. Humor Us is a relatively new performance group, formed in the spring of 2006 after a semester of planning and organizing in the fall of 2005. The idea of a new comedy group came from the friendship of Ernest Billinger and Kenneth Jackson and after consulting close friends, Katie Escoto and Gretchen Schmidt signed on to the outfit. It was at this time when the makings of Humor Us! slowly began to come together with its three founding members. In February of 2006, we became an official organization, holding our first prospective meeting and auditions. Now, we’ve built on our reputation and continue to humor the Cornell community.
